I started litter picking

And it feels good.

It's that time of year where my girls are spending lots of time at our local park. Typically for us, we pop down in the evening, until it gets dark. They are at that in-between stage, where they don't need help with stuff, yet someone still needs to be there to keep that watchful and responsible eye out for them.

I wouldn't want anyone to think I'm reckless mothering, or anything like that. 😜

I've never been one to just sit and do nothing at the park. I still do my playground work outs and generally get my steps in, but I got to the point that walking around in circles got a bit boring, even if I was listening to an audiobook as I was doing it.

It so happened that during my walks, I kept getting annoyed at the rubbish I'd see left around. Rather than go and complain on Facebook groups and have local people comment on how human beings are scumbags, it made sense to just do something about it.

I'm always surprised about how much I find, I normally fill up a whole back in a 45 minute-ish session.

Anyways, thought I'd share. I recommend it. It feels good to do something positive. Overall, I plan to bring my litter picking grabber stick with me on more walks.
