I'm working on working towards a 20-hour work week—and it's not because I dislike my work.
For someone who loves the work I do, this is hard. I want to become more focused on how I spend my time. I don't feel like I always spend my time well, or efficiently.
Yet this effort is not about productivity either.
Life is so full of distractions, everyone clamouring for our attention. This is more about creating my boundaries. And living the life that I want to live.
And tbh, life seems to be really short at the moment, my goal is to have no regrets. If I don't do this then I know I will have regrets.
I've been working less and less each week for the past month. I'd say on average I've been doing 25-30 hours, not quite there yet.
But it's not just about what I do in those hours, it's also what I do with my other time. My life needs re-adjusting to get rid of what isn't good for me and to replace them with what feels better.
I've been trying to think about how to track my time and I think I'm going to track it as my screen time, which I can easily get data on.
My screen time was down 16% last week. 💪
