The Geeks raised over £800 for charity

As part of the Brighton Digital Festival we held a Christmas Charity Geek Dinner where £828.78 was raised for The Chestnut Treehouse.  More details can be found on the Brighton Girl Geek Dinner website.

Brighton Girl Geeks Online

The Brighton Girl Geek Dinners has been a great experience and over the past year a small community has grown.  After several requests I feel it is important to trial out an online community that will hopefully fill the gap of knowing what girl geeks (& supporters) are out there and perhaps get to know each other that little bit better.

The idea is to keep the Brighton Girl Geek Dinners, but have the Brighton Girl Geeks as an additional way to communicate, socialise and perhaps organise less formal events.

Vote for a Charity

The poll is now open for everyone to vote for their preferred charity for proceeds of the Charity Geek Dinner to go to.

There are still tickets and sponsorship packages available for the event.

Charity Christmas Geek Dinner - tickets 50% sold

If you haven't purchased your ticket for the Charity Christmas Geek Dinner you may want to get your li'l booty moving.  You can choose between the following tickets:

• Single ticket @ £20 covers a meal and drink (seperate tickets for the guys and gals)
• Gold sponsor @ £300 includes 2 tickets and shows that you and/or your company are being extremely generous by committing to a great cause.
• Silver sponsor @ £200 includes 1 ticket and shows that you and/or your company are being very generous by commiting to a great cause.
• Bronze sponsor @ £100 includes 1 ticket and shows that you and/or your company are being generous by commiting to a great cause.

A standard ticket covers the cost of food and drink - no profit being made from this side of things.  All the profit will come from sponsors - so it is essential we get sponsors on board to make a profit to donate to a charity.

We encourage you all to take part.  We promise a fun night, with a great speaker, good food and a li'l xmas spark for you all.

Christmas Charity Geek Dinner

Simon Harriyott and I are organising a Christmas Charity Geek Dinner. We hope to raise loadsa cash for a charity.

What?  Christmas already?

It's been a bit quiet on the Girl Geek Dinner front, but there is good reason for that.  We are currently working on a very special bigger event.
